Zoomed Patterns of some Statistics on selected Collatz Sequences

The subsequent note provides an analysis of some aspects with respect to Collatz sequences originating from initial numbers up to 10,000. The intention is to illustrate some (statistical) relationships between lengths, maximum values, means, medians, variances (standard deviations), coefficients of variation (CV), skewnesses, kurtoses and the 90%-quantiles of selected Collatz sequences, but in contrast to Schauerhuber's (2025) paper 'An Overview of some Statistics on selected Collatz Sequences' selectively highlights those areas exhibiting especially 'interesting' and detailed patterns. Specifically this study mainly focusses only on visual and hence non-mathematical results. After a brief introduction of Collatz sequences and the method applied for this note, the results of the study will be addressed. Finally the generated R code - for the purpose of this investigation - will be presented.
